Welcome to my Garden

Welcome

I closed on my house in December, so other than bushes and trees I had no idea what was beneath the snow until it bloomed in the Spring... I’ve had so many fun garden surprises!

While most of my time this year has been spent maintaining the garden, making it functional, and getting it ready for planting, I’ve started to develop design plans of my own. Next year I will start implementing my landscape designs, but for now, I’m working with what I’ve got… and it’s keeping me very busy.

Since the global pandemic and forced isolation in March, I’ve found a new appreciation for my yard and the beauty that it holds. Now that I’m working from home full-time, I’m able to watch the garden come to life, and notice small details that would have otherwise been missed. There is an indescribable joy felt by watching something grow from nothing. I figured I would take this spark and transform it into something creative… this blog!

I’m excited to share the changes and updates I make, while learning along the way. I’m no expert at gardening, but I have amazing resources (my mom is a master gardener) and lots of ideas!
